L3 Harris Mayday Rally for Worker’s Rights

  • 50 Prince Street Northampton, MA, 01060 United States (map)

We will gather for a rally at L3 Harris weapon’s manufacturer at 50 Prince Street in Northampton.  L3 Harris weapons and surveillance are used in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, border patrol and ICE surveillance.

NO to weapons being manufactured in Northampton and YES to ethical jobs!

Our demands: (1) Make it illegal for businesses like L3Harris - a company that manufactures in death by creating weapons and surveillance technologies that are used for crimes against humanity in Palestine and on the U.S./Mexico border - to operate in Northampton. (2) Attract ethical businesses that create secure jobs that benefit workers, humanity, and the planet. (3) Together we'll make it clear to L3Harris and city officials that we WILL NOT STOP until Northampton commits to being weapons-free and L3Harris either leaves or converts to peace work.

We will gather for a rally outside L3Harris on 5/1, at 4:30pm , make a whole lot of noise, and hear from organizers. At 5:30, we will march 1 mile down West St from L3Harris to City Hall.  The goal is to be as big and disruptive as possible: bring signs! bring puppets! bring art! At 6:15, we will flood the city council meeting and testify to the Mayor and City Council of Northampton with our demands (public comment begins at 6:30, with sign-up prior to the meeting). We welcome all levels of participation! Join us for the rally, march, city council meeting, or all three!

Here’s a link to the petition to stop L3 Harris which lists three demands. Feel free to share!
